We are pleased to announce that both Damar Group and Murray Controls have been recognised for their approach to the prevention of accidents and ill health by the Royal Society of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards and Management of Road Risk Awards.
For Damar Group this is the fifth consecutive award resulting in a coveted GOLD MEDAL for Occupational Health and Safety.
For Murray Controls this is the second consecutive Gold Award and the second MORR award for both companies.
The RoSPA Awards scheme recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. It does not just look at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s Awards Manager, said “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Damar Group Ltd has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of these awards”.
Chris Maddox, Group Services Director for Damar Group, said “This is an excellent achievement for the company and the fifth year running for the Gold Award earning our first GOLD MEDAL. Everyone should be very proud that their dedication to safety and hard work has been recognised by RoSPA in this way. The Gold Medal is particularly significant as it recognises that we have continuously improved our safety performance over five successive years which is a real achievement and testament to everyone’s commitment to safety”.
